SUBMISSION TO THE EXTRADITION REVIEW PANEL

Fair Trials International has published a major new report on Europe’s fast-track extradition system: the European Arrest Warrant (EAW). The report is part of FTI’s response to the Government’s review of the UK’s extradition arrangements, which are being examined by an independent panel headed up by the Rt Hon Sir Scott Baker.

As well as highlighting some of FTI’s cases which demonstrate the injustice that has been caused by the EAW, the report proposes concrete reforms to ensure the UK’s extradition arrangements safeguard the fundamental rights of those facing extradition.
