FTI’s submission to the Ministry of Justice on the Stockholm Programme

Fair Trials International’s submission to the UK Ministry of Justice examines the opportunities presented by the Stockholm Programme.

The submission presents arguments and case studies supporting the need to back Sweden’s efforts to prioritize minimum procedural defence rights for all EU citizens, which we are pleased to note the UK Government also wishes to prioritize. It also sets out the case for reform of the European Arrest Warrant system.
