SERENA WYLDE SEEKS NEW JUDGE

Serena Wylde was yesterday due in court in Portugal to defend a charge of aggravated criminal defamation against Fernando Pimenta de Almeida Borges. But the hearing in the Algarve did not even start after Ms Wylde's lawyers questioned the impartiality of the presiding judge.

"This application will now be assessed by a higher court. If successful, a different judge will hear Serena's case" said a spokeswoman for Fair Trials International.
