Fair Trials International Spokesperson Priscillia de Corson said: “We are pleased that the British and Portuguese authorities have agreed to transfer Garry so he will be able to serve the remainder of his sentence in the UK, closer to his family. However, Garry has suffered a serious injustice as a result of his unfair trial in Portugal and unfair extradition from the UK. We will continue to support his application against both countries in the European Court of Human Rights.”
