EU PLAN TO LET FOREIGN POLICE SPY ON BRITONS

Brussels meddlers want to allow European police officers to spy on Britons under sinister plans drawn up by the EU.
Officers from any EU country would be able to demand information on anyone they suspect of an offence, no matter how minor or whether it is even criminal in the UK.
British police would be almost powerless to prevent the handing over of personal details such as DNA, bank account or phone records.
The European Investigation Order would also allow foreign police to investigate alleged crimes directly on UK soil.
Fair Trials International said it could result in disproportionate requests, such as demands for the DNA of planeloads of British holidaymakers following a murder in their resort.
A report by Fair Trials International said: “This could include requests to interview suspects or witnesses or obtain information by intercepting and monitoring telephone or email communications or by monitoring activity in bank accounts.
“States could also be required to obtain or analyse DNA samples or fingerprints and send the information to the issuing state within fixed deadlines.” Police would not be able to argue that a request was disproportionate.
