Arrest warrant let ordeal happen
- SOURCE: North London NewspapersJune 22 2011
Human rights group Fair Trials International backed Andrew from the start. Chief executive Jago Russell said: “Andrew is an innocent man condemned by failures in Europe’s justice system to a four-year nightmare. While his friends were free to start their adult lives, Andrew was dragged before the courts, shipped to a foreign land and held behind bars in one of Europe’s worst prisons. Politicians must not forget this family’s ordeal.”
