Since 1992 Fair Trials International has worked to defend the fair trial rights of people arrested outside their own country. We provide advice and information to people arrested outside their own country and do not charge for any of the advice assistance that we provide.

By clicking on the links below you can download a range of materials produced by Fair Trials International, including notes of advice on criminal procedure and defence rights in a range of different countries as well as notes on specific issues facing people arrested outside their own country. By visiting the Frequently Asked Questions page, you can access straightforward practical answers to the questions we are most frequently asked by people arrested abroad and by their friends and relatives at home. Some of these materials are available in languages other than English.
