Need Help?
This page explains how Fair Trials International (FTI) can help defendants and their families/ supporters.
You are facing a criminal investigation or charges or believe you have been the victim of a miscarriage of justice:
FTI works all over the world and with clients of any nationality. If you are facing a criminal investigation or charges outside your home country, or believe you have been the victim of a miscarriage of justice, we may be able to help you. We are not able to help with cases in your home country.
Sadly, FTI is unable to assist in every case. When deciding which cases we take on, we look at the severity of the alleged miscarriage of justice and the particular vulnerability of the defendant. We also carefully assess how effective our intervention could be. If we are unable to take your case on, we will do our best to refer you to someone who can.
Each case is different and, where we do take on a case, we will decide what kind of help we can offer. FTI does not charge clients for the unique service that we provide. The assistance we can provide is, however, limited. We cannot, for example, provide financial assistance with your case, provide domestic legal advice or act as your solicitor. For more information about the kind of help that FTI can and cannot provide click here.
If you would like to request assistance from FTI, please get in touch with us by sending us the completed and signed FTI Client Questionnaire (click here to download the document), either via email (with your scanned in signature), fax or post.
We aim to provide a response to all requests within six weeks of receipt of a signed questionnaire. Due to the large number of calls, we may not always respond as quickly as we would like to.
