For a person arrested in a foreign country, who doesn’t speak the language, has no idea of their rights and is imprisoned far from home, the risk of miscarriages of justice is enormous. Fair Trials International (FTI) is the only charity helping people in this terrifying predicament to defend their fair trial rights.
FTI is a small, dynamic human rights charity with a unique focus on fair trials in cross-border cases. We were established in the early 1990s but have grown significantly over the last eighteen months and have ambitious plans for the future.
